I followed this doc to wire my ty91 to the tc90: TY91 Harness tc90 - Falken Avionics

pin 4 of the tc90 goes straight to ground.
then, in the fdc, I followed the instructions noted in the support under Trig TY91 VHF COM Radio and FlightLink RS-232 to the TC90 Control Head
I am not using the FlightLink COM 1 cable as I have the fdc v3, I wired directly from the tc90 to the port 5 of the db37 as noted above.
My problem is I am still not able to control my radio using the IPad Efis app.
Where I set the Garmin SL-40 as the Model, there is an option on the app to read what the port is receiving, and nothing shows up.
So I am wondering if there is a step I missed.
